Seriously… pea sized hail… A water spout on Lake Superior and when I drove back into the campground, I thought… “What happened here?” There were leaves and branches everywhere!
I get back home and Trapper says, “We need to make a final run of the park. Things got crazy here while you were gone!” Me, “Ok, let’s go.”
A camper stops us… and points out a major crack in a tree that could potentially fall on the entrance way of the campground. I make a note and report it to the National Forest Service.
There were no campers in any danger with this tree trunk…. this side of camp doesn’t have tent campers … but still… it was a hazard.
The storm that blew in – produced wind, hail, and rain. In the meantime I was in Munisings, WI getting pizza and recycling beer and soda cans (I’m up to $110 by the way) … And I’m glad I missed this storm!
Remember the only form of communication is a land-line phone (that we can only receive calls on and call out locally!)
I hope the National Forest Service comes soon to chop this sucker down.
Ok . I got the point about the phone. Lol
