Badlands National Park

Gorgeous is the first word that comes to mind, followed by awesome, beyond pretty, impressive, majestic, and a wonderful experience! How’s that for a recommendation to go visit!

Unfortunately it was a really cloudy day when we visited and even with magical photo editing – I simply could not get the pictures to capture the real beauty. I tried.

The drive through the park you’ll likely see Bison, prairie dogs, big horn sheep, and maybe a black footed ferret. We saw all the above minus the ferret. The park is 244,000 acres of mixed grass prairie for these animals to eat, sleep, and live in.

Numerous trails, pull offs, scenic views and wild life to view. It’s a breathtaking place. Our boondocking spot was just a couple of miles from the National Park. We will definitely be visiting again.
