I last left you in Lake Havasu City, AZ…. in middle March. March 14 we headed home to set-out this COVID-19 situation.
I will go back and fill in the last 3-4 months. I’ll also fill in our decision to relocate 2200 miles back “home” (the Carolina’s), and where we went, what we did, what we accomplished, etc.
In current/real times… we are camp hosting at Camp 7 in the Hiawatha National Forest in the UP of MI. Some of you remember we were in this area in 2019, this time of year. And yes we were and now we’re back for this crazy 2020 season! We’re just at a different location/campground.
We actually enjoy camp hosting. It’s a challenge, but we’re up to it. We’re glad we made the decision to come back up here. It’s a warm season this year, for the locals, and it’s much warmer than we expected but it’s doable and less humid than SC.
COVID is still a real thing and we’re taking all precautions. I can’t say all campers are; but we politely deny hand-shakes, beers from strangers, or the close encounter of another human being…. we just move backwards, put our hand out to stand away and then most people jump into lockdown mode. People at the grocery are all wearing masks and we feel safe in our decision to be here.
I’ll update the blog with pics from Lake Havsau City, AZ and my thoughts, our decision to head back “home”, me having some sort of a brain episode and spending 3 days in the hospital during the first phase of the COVID pandemic. That’s a crazy story and I’ll post it later. I was pretty convinced the Zombies were coming after me. Stay tuned.
Until then, stay tuned and I’ll be back.
Thanks for rejoining us and hanging in here with us.
