Are you kidding me? Seriously? Really? I know you’re kidding me! My husbands reply was a simple, “No, I’m not kidding.”
“We’re not ready!” I exclaimed!
“Yes, we are!”
And it went back and forth. But, he won! The timeline went like this:
October 4, 2018 he announces he has three realtors set up to interview. The house still needed to be a bit staged with the little bit of stuff we still had in it! There was cleaning to do, trash removal still, and I was a bit panicked!!!!!
October 11, 2018 we choose the one we’re going with.
October 15, 2018 photographer comes for photo-op.
October 16, 2018 house goes live online at 2 p.m.
October 17, 2018 – First showing and a canceled showing.
October 18, 2018 – Second showing
October 19, 2019 – 9 a.m. – offer via email. By 4 p.m. we had a solid negotiated cash offer and now on to inspections.
We were in a mad dash at this point. The folks that put an offer in wanted to come back and take measurements, etc. so we said sure. They came back and we knew it was a done deal. This was only a couple days after accepting their offer. The septic and well inspection hadn’t even been done by now. She was measuring and taking pictures, etc. I was staying out of her way and answering questions about internet service with her husband.
We were feverishly trying to rid ourselves of last minute pieces of furniture that we knew we were never going to use again.
The last of our furniture pieces left on a rollback and went to a great family friend who could really use it.
