Once we left KY we basically drove all the way to Monroe, NC and parked ourselves at our son’s house.
Lucky for us, he has 30 amp hookups and water! Who knew?! Moochdocking heaven, right?
Evidentially the folks who owned the house before him had an RV and had a separate 30 amp service installed! PERFECT! We may never leave! (Just kiddin’ son!)
Immediate FAMILY time! And we all sat a few ground rules, if you will. Now, my son is a lot like me, so that was kinda easy. He likes things nice and tidy.
When you’re Moochdocking – you must pay attention to the “host” request…. it’s just courtesy, common sense, and appreciation – for them to allow you to stay on their property.
Also offering or just doing simple task around the place is appreciated. I picked up a ton of sticks/limbs from the tree’s that had fallen. I used them as kindling, as my son hates picking up limbs…. so, I was being courteous. Also – leave it better than you found it!
Those are just a couple Moochdocking/boondocking principles everyone should live by.
OK… a lot changes for us over the next month…. keep reading! I’ve condensed a lot of it for you!
