First and foremost… we lucked out and the awning was just fine! Whew! We’ll not let that happen again!
Today I realized next week is 4th of July week! And due to my bad planning…. we had NO where to go over the 4th of July. I almost panicked when I realized we had no reservations anyway for this week! And I did panic when I started trying to make some! Zero possibility at the probably 20 RV Campgrounds I tried. Another newbie mistake! Wow! Two newbie mistakes in just a few days!
Then, luckily, I remembered our FMCA membership… and I snagged the last spot at the FMCA Campground just outside Cincinnati, OH. Two free nights and then $20/night for up to seven nights. We only needed four nights! We were in! Yippie!! And this was water and electric!
We wanted to come to OH anyway, so it was a good snag. And it’s only for FMCA members. A mere 18 or 19 spots but a great respite.
We left the Knoxville area, drove straight through Kentucky, and got to Cincinnati around 4 p.m. Not a bad day!
As soon as Trapper’s cousin found out we were in town, we were off to dinner at her house. T-Bones, twice baked potatoes, salad, family time, and the day ended perfectly!
We could rest and visit family without worrying about having to move over the 4th week.
